Biography
Lin XU was born in Hubei province, China, in 1982. He received the B.Sc. degree in chemistry from Hubei University of Technology (HBUT, Wuhan) in 2005 and obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST, Shanghai) in 2012 under the supervision of Professor Xuhong Qian. Subsequently, he joined in the East China Normal University (ECNU, Shanghai) as an assistant was promoted to associate professor in 2014. His research interests focus mainly on fluorescence sensing and supramolecular self-assembly. He is an editorial board member of Current Organic Synthesis.
Research Interest
Fluorescence sensing
Development of new fluorescent probes for selective detection of biological small molecules (such as H2S and NO), metal ions (such as Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, and Ag+), and anions (such as Br-and I-))
Supramolecular self-assembly
Construction of functionalized supramolecular metallocycles via coordination-driven self-assembly
