Quercetin

Quercetin is a plant flavonol  from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It is found in many fruits, vegetables, grains, red onions and kale. It has a bitter flavor and used in dietary supplements, beverages, and foods. It acts on leukocytes and effects on immunity and cause inflammation. It plays a role in cellular function by targeting many intracellular signaling kinases and phosphatases.

Due to the presence of polyphenol chemical substructure it acts as an antioxidant.

Quercitine was taken in many forms most commonly taken by mouth. It acts as protein activator.

Uses:

Ø  prevention of cancer

Ø  arthritis

Ø  bladder infections

Ø  diabetes
