Nanoparticle Probes

The probes are basic building blocks of Borg assimilation; these submicroscopic, self-replicating robots permeate the bloodstream and carry Borg technology throughout the body. A device that uses x-rays instead of visible light to form images of very small structures, such as the insides of blood vessels and cells. It can be used to study processes such as angiogenesis. Nanoparticle probes attack the victim on a cellular level, latching on to the blood cells and taking over their functions, rewriting their DNA almost instantaneously. Probes are attached to any of molecule with a reactive group proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides, small molecules and lipids for detection and localization, diagnosis, and treatment of cancers.
