PEM Fuel cell

PEM fuel cell is known as two forms namely Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cells or Polymer Electrolyte Membrane. It is water based acidic polymer membrane as its electrolyte, with platinum based electrodes. PEMFC cells operate at low temperatures i.e; below 100 degrees Celsius and can tailor electrical output to meet dynamic power requirements. These cells have a special material that facilitates the reaction of oxygen and hydrogen as a catalyst. It is usually made of platinum nanoparticles very thinly coated onto carbon paper or cloth. PEMFC cells are currently the leading technology for light duty vehicles and materials handling vehicles, and to a lesser extent for stationary and other applications.  Recently, artificial intelligence such as neural network control (NNC), fuzzy logic control (FLC) and FLC-PID control have been used in PEMFC system control because they are simpler and cheaper.

Nanomaterial chemistry and technology journal welcomes new research and articles related to PEM Fuel cell. Nanomaterial chemistry and technology is a global open access journal maintaining high standards of scientific excellence and its editorial board ensures a rapid peer review process.
