Nano toxicology

Nano toxicology is a branch of toxicology concerned with the study of the toxicity of nanomaterials, which can be divided into those derived from combustion processes, manufacturing processes such as spray drying or grinding and naturally occurring processes such as volcanic eruptions or atmospheric reactions. Of the possible hazards, inhalation exposure appears to present the most concern, with animal studies showing pulmonary effects such as inflammation, fibrosis, and carcinogenicity for some nanomaterials. Skin contact and ingestion exposure are also a concern. Size is a key factor in determining the potential toxicity of a particle. Other properties of nanomaterial that influence toxicity include chemical composition, shape, surface structure, surface charge, aggregation and solubility and the presence or absence of functional groups of other chemicals.

Nanomaterial chemistry and technology is a global open access journal maintaining high standards of scientific excellence and its editorial board ensures a rapid peer review process and Nanomaterial chemistry and technology welcomes all research works on Nano toxicology. And also as well as case reports on Nano-medicine, articles on Nano-scale materials, research on Nano robotics, research on nanoparticles, and also deals with the Nano science and technology journals.
