Bone marrow failure disorder

Bone marrow failure disorder (MDS) are often referred as a Myelodysplastic Syndromes. The syndromes are a type of cancer. They are rare group of disorders that can occur when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal and therefore do not become healthy blood cells. Symptoms may include feeling tired, shortness of breath, easy bleeding, or frequent infections and some types may develop into acute myeloid leukemia. It is more common in men. There are several different types of Myelodysplastic syndromes based on how many types of blood cells are affected and other factors.
