Sinus lift

Sinus lift sometimes also called as sinus augmentation. It is a surgical procedure that adds bone to your upper jaw (posterior maxilla) in the area of your molars and premolars by lifting the lower Schneiderian membrane (sinus membrane) and placing a bone graft. Sinus lifts can be a particularly unpleasant experience for patients. The procedure takes more than an hour and involves significant trauma. The main risk of a sinus lift is that the sinus membrane could be punctured or torn. If the membrane is torn during the procedure, the surgeon will either stitch the sinus tear or place a patch over it. While any type of surgery is not working, Sinus lifts are safe, effective procedures that are performed regularly in the field of dentistry.
