Oral Precancerous Lesions
Precancerous conditions of the mouth are changes to cells of the mouth that make them more likely to develop into cancer. Precancerous lesions of oral mucosa, known as potentially malignant disorder, it consists of a group of diseases, which should be diagnosed in the early stage. Oral leukoplakia, oral submucous fibrosis, and oral erythroplakia are the most common oral mucosal diseases that have a very high malignant transformation rate. These conditions are not yet cancer. But if they are not treated, there is a chance that these abnormal changes may become oral cancer.
