Adrenal gland disorders
Adrenal gland disorders are conditions that interfere with the normal functioning of the adrenal glands. Adrenal gland disorders may cause hyperfunction/ hypofunction of the system.
The adrenal gland produces hormones helps to regulate kidney function and affects growth, development and stress. There are two parts of the adrenal glands the adrenal cortex produces mineralocorticoids regulate salt and water balance, glucocorticoids.
The adrenal medulla produces epinephrine and norepinephrine. Disorders of the adrenal gland may affect the production of one or more of these hormones.
