Hematology
Hematology is concerned with the study of treatment, prognosis and prevention of diseases related to blood. Hematology involves in treating the diseases which effects the production of blood and its components like hemoglobin, blood cells, bone marrow, blood proteins, blood vessels and the mechanism of coagulation. Such diseases may include blood clots, hemophilia, other bleeding disorder and blood cancers like multiple myeloma, leukemia and lymphoma. The physicians who are specialized in hematology are called as hematologists.
