Neonatology

Neonatology is the subspecialty of pediatrics. It is the study of medicine concerned with the development and disorders of newborn babies, sick babies, and premature babies. Newborn infants who require special medical care due to prematurity, low birth weight. And also due to intrauterine growth restriction, congenital malformations, sepsis, and birth asphyxia.

In neonates, due to immaturity of the immune system and highly developed antibodies which may leads to increased susceptibility to serious bacterial, fungal and viral infections. They are namely known as blood cell disorders, miscellaneous multisystem diseases, respiratory syncytial virus infection, neural tube defects, congenital heart defect, fragile X syndrome, cystic fibrosis.

Edelweiss Publications has scholarly journals maintaining high standard articles of Neonatology. We do accept and publish original Research Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports, Mini Reviews, Rapid Communication, Opinions and Editorials on all the topics of Pediatric and Neonatology.
