Biomedical sciences
The application of the principles of the natural sciences to medicine is known as Biomedical Science. In biomedical science, natural science or formal science, or both are applied to develop knowledge, technology or interventions in the improvement of health care or public health. Medical microbiology, genetic epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, clinical virology and biomedical engineering are the disciplines of the medical sciences.
Biomedical science combines the fields of biology and medicine in order to focus on the health of both animals and humans. Biomedical science focuses on how cells, organs and systems function in the human body and treatment of the human diseases.
