Prof Casado Arroyos contributions to translational medical cardiology, mostly in the field of Cardiac arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, Brugada syndrome, Long QT); computer methods in cardiovascular image processing, computational knowledge discovery, artificial intelligence, intelligent data analysis, bio-signal processing, signal modelling, predictive models development, e-health and mobile applications, and communications within and between hospitals. The innovative work of Prof Casado Arroyos multidisciplinary team has been focused on the design and selection of personalized cardiovascular treatments based on the analysis and characterization of each patients heart rhythm disturbance. The final objective is to improve outcomes and quality of life of patients.
Prof Casado Arroyos has authored more than 100 articles published in peer-reviewed medical and scientific journals (JACC, Circulation EP, European Heart Journal, Heart, JCE, Heart Rhythm), and he has given more than 200 presentations at medical and scientific conferences around the world. He is on the Editorial Board of several professional journals. Prof Casado Arroyo is a member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). Currently, he is Nucleus Member of the ESC, working group on E-cardiology. Hes also member of the EHRA and the Belgium Society of Cardiology. He also holds a master in Health Economics (LSE)​.
