Biography
Graduated in Geological Sciences and qualified as a professional geologist, she earned Ph.D. title in Earth Sciences at the University of Bari. She is researcher at Institute of Methodologies of Environmental Analysis (IMAA) of CNR. Since 2002 Claudia Belviso has been carrying out her research activity in the field of mineralogy and geochemistry aimed at environmental protection. She is specialized in clay minerals and zeolite synthesis from waste materials and natural sources as well as their application to solve enviromental problems. These research activities have allowed her to be inventor of an International Patent about zeolite synthesis from fly ash; to publish numerous scientific articles in international and national journals; to participate in congresses and national and international conferences; to take part on the organization of international congresses and national schools scientific development and to carry out scientific researches in national and international projects, supported by public and private institutions. She is also member of the scientific board of international journals and reviewer.

Synthesis of zeolites from waste materials,Synthesis in situ of zeolites from fused coal fly ash for heavy metals stabilisation in polluted soils,Development of physico-chemical processes for the remediation of metal-polluted soils and water,Development and application of X-rays diffraction methodologies for mineralogical analysis,Clay minerals.
