Biography
Mr. David Romero-Estévez is a researcher in the Center for Applied Studies in Chemistry of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemical sciences with mention in analytical chemistry from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and a master’s degree in occupational risk prevention and safety from Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial (UTE) in Quito, Ecuador. Mr. Romero-Estévez has over nine years of experience in physiochemical analysis of environmental matrixes soil and water, and over 3 years of experience in food safety and metal contamination studies. Also he has worked in validations of analytical techniques, quality assurance processes, proficiency tests. He’s main research field is related with trace metal contamination.

Food safety related with trace metals, food contamination, natural food additives, health risk assessment, environmental management, applied analytical chemistry.
