Dementia is not a specific disease, in generally termed as a decline in mental ability. Memory loss is a best example. Alzheimers is the most common type of dementia. Whereas, many changes in the brain that cause dementia are permanent and worsen over time, thinking and memory problems caused by the following ways Depression, Medication side effects, and excess use of alcohol, Thyroid problems, and Vitamin deficiencies. Behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia almost occur in all types of dementia and may manifest as Agitation, Depression, Anxiety, Abnormal motor behavior, Elated mood, Irritability, Apathy, impulsivity, hallucinations, Changes in sleep or appetite. Research on treatment of Dementia is going on, one of them is usage of Turmeric.
