Bio-MEMS
Bio-MEMS means Bio Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, It is a subset of MEMS that has biological or biomedical functions and applications. This unit focuses on the areas for biomedical applications of bio-MEMS. Pressure sensors, inertial sensors, hearing-Aid transducer, microfluidics for diagnostics and drug delivery, micro machined needles, microsurgical tools, and many more prepared by using bio-MEMS. The bio-MEMS are used in following applications such as,
