Dental Ceramics
Dental ceramic also called as dental porcelain. It is a dental material utilized by dental professionals to make biocompatible similar dental restorations, for example, crowns, bridges, and veneers. Evidence suggests they are a successful material as they are biocompatible, aesthetic, insoluble and have a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. For certain dental prostheses, for example, three-unit molars porcelain combined to metal or in entire porcelain gathering, zirconia-based restorations are suggested.
The composition of ceramic includes Kaolin 3-5%, Quartz (silica) 12-25%, Feldspar 70-85%, Metallic colourants 1% and Glass up to 15%
