Dental crown

A Dental crown also called as dental top, is a kind of dental rebuilding which totally tops or encompasses a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are regularly required when a large cavity threatens the ongoing health of a tooth. They are normally bonded to the tooth using dental cement. Crowns can be produced using numerous materials, which are normally created using indirect methods. Crowns are regularly used to enhance the quality or appearance of teeth. While inarguably useful to dental health, the procedure and materials can be relatively expensive.

The most widely recognized technique for crowning a tooth involves using a dental impression of a prepared tooth by a dentist to fabricate the crown outside of the mouth. The crown can then be inserted at a subsequent dental appointment.
