Pharmacotherapeutics is a branch of Pharmacology. It is defined as “the study of the therapeutic uses and effects of drugs” that is a study of beneficial and adverse effects of drugs on a body. The therapeutic effect of a drug is dependent on the size of the person, the body composition the person, the age of the person, the disease being treated, environmental factors, and genetics. Pharmacotherapeutics also studies the drug interactions when other drugs being taken at the same time and how they interact with each other which help to avoid adverse drug reactions.
