Orthopedics is the branch of medicine deals with the musculoskeletal system and treating injuries to bones, joints, nerves, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow, ligaments, or tendons. The musculoskeletal system comprises the framework of the body and the mechanics that make it function. While orthopedics focuses on this system specifically. Orthopedic conditions are the most common reasons for people seek medical care. At some point most of the people will be diagnosed with an orthopedic condition. But the good news is that most of the orthopedic conditions are treatable. In fact, some of the most successful medical treatments and surgical procedures are orthopedic.
