Bursitis

Inflammation of a bursa caused by an injury is known as Bursitis. Tiny fluid-filled sac which functions as a gliding surface to reduce friction between tissues of the body is known as bursa. Bursa is located at the tendons near the large joints like shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Gardening, Raking, Carpentry, Shoveling, Painting, Scrubbing and Sports that cause overuse or injury to the joint areas, leads to bursitis. Increasing of pain with movement or pressure, tenderness, even without movement, swelling, and loss of movement. Rest, ice and taking a pain reliever are some types of methods used to relieve the pain of bursitis. 

If inflammation in bursa caused by infection is treated by antibiotics, to strengthen the muscles in the affected area to ease pain and prevent recurrence Physical therapy or exercises are used. Usage of knee pads when kneeling and warming up properly before exercise can reduce Bursitis risk. Aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen are used for the treatment of Bursitis.
