Drug discovery for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus disease field has been described by the both success and disappointments. The nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors have been the significant improvement for the administration of the Acquired Immune Deficiency Disease Syndrome (AIDS) there has been notable lack of licensed compounds directed at sites other than reverse transcriptase. In the improvement of medications for the treatment of HIV contamination, various pressures can be distinguished which should be routed to allow successful drug development in the future.
