Toxicology
Toxicology corresponds with many branches of science like biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and medicine which includes the study of the adverse effects of chemical substances on humans and animals and is also involved in diagnosing and treatment on exposure to toxins and toxicants. The relationship between dose and its effects on the exposed organism is highly focused in toxicology. The nature and effect of poisons on an organism and their treatment is studied by toxicologists. The amount to which a chemical substance or a particular mixture of substances can be harmful to an organism is referred to as toxicity. The effect of a chemical substance on a whole organism such as an animal, plant or bacterium is known as toxicity which may involve the effect of toxins either on a single cell or whole organism.
