Antidiabetic drugs

The development of a new drug which controls the diabetes is known as antidiabetic drug. Antidiabetic drugs are the drugs which are used to treat diabetes mellitus by decreasing the glucose level in the hemoglobin. With the exception of exenatide, insulin, pramlintide and liraglutide all are administered orally and thus called as oral hypoglycemic agents. This drug is beneficial on glucose metabolism and also promotes weight loss. Mostly antidiabetic drugs are suggested to be used by consulting doctors. Antidiabetic drugs are not advised during pregnancy. Pharmacoepidemiology Researches invites an article to publish in the Journal of Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology.
