Pharmaceutical formulation
Pharmaceutical formulation is the process in pharmaceutics where various chemical substances including the active drug are combined to produce a final medicinal product. The term formulation is also used as dosage form. The preparation of drug in the formulation should be stable and acceptable to the patient. It should be in such a way that it doesn’t cause any harm to the patient whether directly or indirectly. The preparation of the drug depends on the route of administration to the patient. Oral formulations are usually taken as tablets and capsules, parenteral formulation are taken as IV, SC, and IM administration. The journal of Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology aim is to publish high quality research in the discipline of Pharmacovigilance by providing encouragement for editors, reviewers, authors, and readers to have an uninterrupted scientific communication.
