Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a general term for conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels. Its usually associated with deposition of fats inside the arteries causing atherosclerosis and there is an increased risk of blood clots.
There are many types of CVD but mostly there are four types:
· Stroke
Risk factors:
· High blood pressure
· Smoking
· High cholesterol
· Diabetes
· Being overweight or obese
