Food safety regulations
Food
safety regulations describe scientific
discipline of handling, preparations and storage of food. They were developed
to prevent food
borne diseases and severe health
hazards as food serves as reproductive medium for the growth of microorganisms.
The set of guidelines, standard procedures and preventive techniques mentioned
in food safety regulations are mandatory to be followed accordingly to each
country safety guidelines respectively, such as USFDA for USA and Canadian Food
Inspection Agency for Canada. These food safety regulations are framed to
protect public health, protect the environment,
assure fare trades and convey information to consumers by package labeling
requirements.
