Nutrigenomics
Nutrigenomics
is the study of interaction between nutrition, health and genes. It helps to
determine body nutritional requirement and allergy conditions if any to any of
the food ingredients. Amount of fats, carbohydrates, lipids,
nutrients present in the body is known by this study and one can take care of
what is lacking or more than required in our body to maintain overall health. Nutrigenomics
corresponds to the use of epigenomics,
biochemistry, nutrition, metabolomics, proteomics,
genomics, transcriptomics, and physiology to study relation between nutrition
and genes. The food we eat has an impact on our body this effect on genome,
proteome and metabolome is studied in nutrigenomics, based on which the diet of
a person is planned to protect genes from damage.
Edelweiss
Journal of Food Science and Technology
publishes articles related to food science and technology and cover various
topics such as nutrition, health, dietetics, clinical nutrition and many more. Nutrigenomics articles can be research,
review or Case reports. All of these types of manuscripts are welcomed to
publish in the Edelweiss
Journal of Food Science and Technology.
This Journal is running by Edelweiss publications with eminent editors for peer
review process.
