Pyrrolidine is also known as tetrahydropyrrole, it is a cyclic amine whose five-membered ring contains four carbon atoms and one nitrogen atom with the molecular formula (CH2)4NH. It is a cyclic secondary amine, and also classified as a saturated heterocycle. Pyrrolidine is present in bread, milk, cheese, carrots, celery stalks, beer, spirits, coffee, caviar and fatty fish. In addition to this pyrrolidine applications are used as organic synthesis, insecticide, bactericide, epoxy resin curing agent, rubber accelerator and also as inhibitors.
