Lara Fakhoouri is an Assistant professor, Department of pharmaceutical science at Applied Sciences University, Jordan.
Research Interest
Screening chemical libraries of small molecules to identify leads with moderate activities against receptors or enzymes known to be potential targets for treating cancer. Design, if possible, rationally based on a known x-ray structure or a built-in homology model of the target, derivatives of those leads to optimize potency and/or pharmacokinetics properties followed by synthesis and biological evaluation.
Semisynthesis of lead anticancer drugs extracted from natural sources.
