Nutrition refers to the study of necessary
nutrients required to maintain good health. The amount of nutrients adsorbed in
the blood stream after complete digestion
and metabolism
is known by this study. It includes the effect of body environment on food in
the complete process of ADME (Adsorption digestion metabolism excretion).

clinical nutritionist examines how the food
nutrients are processed, stored and
discarded by our body. Normally an individual daily nutrition is obtained
through food, however in some diseased conditions where the food does not
suffice other nutrient
supplementation are given to meet the daily
requirement. This kind of supplementation is known as medical nutrition.
Medical nutrition therapy is the use of specific nutrition to treat specific
diseased conditions.
