Biography
Dr. Ranga Rao Ambati received Ph.D in Biotechnology from University of
Mysore, India. Dr. Ranga Rao research work worked as Research Scientist, Senior
Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Research Associate at various internationally
recognized Universities such as Arizona State University (USA), University of
Malaya (Malaysia), Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University
(China) and CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (India). He received Young Scientist Award in World
Food Congress by International Union of Food Science and Technology (Canada),
TWAS-Young Affiliate by Regional office East and South-East Asia and the
Pacific, Chinese Academy of Sciences (China) and Senior Research Fellowship by
Indian Council of Medical Research (India). Dr. Ambati is serving as editorial
board member, and reviewer for reputed international journals. He presented his research work at various
international and national conferences/symposium. In this connection Dr. Ambati traveled to USA (3 times), Canada, Brazil, Malaysia,
Indonesia, Oman and China (3 times). His research papers in peer reviewed
journals more than 30 nos; books-2 nos; book chapters-9 nos; conferences in proceedings
of symposia and seminar in India and abroad: 40 nos. His papers have received
citation by peer group, with H-index-13; and i-10 index of 15 with total
citation of over 1650 as in google scholar. Currently Dr. Ranga Rao is working
as Scientist & Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology,
Vignans University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is working on various research
areas such as Food Science and
Technology, Plant Secondary Metabolites, Natural products, Analytical
Chemistry, Lipid Chemistry, and Functional foods and Algal products .
