Probiotics are defined as live bacteria and yeasts that exert beneficial effects. The human micro-biome plays many roles in inflammation, drug metabolism even the anti-cancer properties has been identified. By manipulating the micro-biome with interventions such as probiotic administration, we may be able to reduce colorectal cancer risk and improve the safety and effectiveness of cancer therapy.
