Nano wires

Nano wires | Composites materials | Nanomaterial chemistry and technology Journal

Nanowires are very thin wires less than 100 nanometers in diameter and small as 3 nanometers in size. Nano wires with quantum mechanical effects are known as quantum wires. Many different types of nanowires are introduced such as in metallic by using Ni, Pt, Au and in semiconducting with InP, Si, GaN, and insulating devices made by SiO2, TiO2. Molecular nanowires are composed of repeating molecular units either organic or inorganic. Nanowires are used in various applications namely,

·         Electronic circuits, Transistors

·         Agriculture and Medicine

·         Water purification

·         Memory and Quantum devices

·         Advanced composite materials

·         Home and business construction

·         Optoelectronics

·         Computer manufacturing

·         Sanitation
