Biography
Dr. Sun received his B.S. (1987) and M.S. (1990) from Xiamen University and earned his Ph.D. (1999) from Fudan University, P.R. China. In the same year, he joined the faculty of Tulane University Health Sciences Center as a research instructor in the Department of Medicine, Peptide Research Section, chaired by Dr. David H. Coy. Dr. Sun was promoted to research assistant professor in 2003 and research associate professor in 2007. In Dr. Coys peptide research group, Dr. Sun established and is in charge of the biological branch of the laboratories. Dr. Suns current research focuses on the development of peptide-based drugs and drug delivery systems in cancer therapeutics and their relevant mechanisms.
