Saima Farooq is an Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences at University of Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman.
Research Interest
i. Synthesis of oxide nanomaterials and characterization of electrical and magnetic properties
ii. Preparation of Ferrite nanomaterials for environmental application (treatment of wastewater)
iii. Preparation of capped nanoferrites for catalytic applications (homogenous and heterogeneous catalysis for production of organic compounds)
iv. Chemometrics (the multivariate methods like PCA, PLS-DA and PLS regression) and Designing of experiments (DOE)
v. Development of carbon-composite cathode materials for lithium ion batteries
