Biography
Suvardhan Kanchi was educated at Sri Venkateswara University, did a Master’s in Applied Chemistry and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the same University and spent one year as a Postdoctoral fellow in Material Science and Engineering department at Feng Chia University, Taiwan on the nano-confinement of AuNPs. and their characterization techniques. In the same lab, he developed green energy waste (bio-hydrogen/bio-diesel residue) into activated carbons and their characterization to evaluate the adsorption capacity of inorganic and organic wastes from aqueous solution. In 2012 he came to South Africa as a Post doctoral fellow at Durban University of Technology, where now he is working as a Research Associate and lecturer as well. His main interest involves the fabrication of chemical/biosensors to study electrochemical aspects of high intensity artificial sweeteners and developing protocols for the separation of organic molecules from food stuffs. Green synthesis of metal, metal oxide nanoparticles and cytotoxic studies using agro waste materials. Recently, he designed lab-made microbial fuel cell and generating electricity from waste waters and algae. To his credit, he bagged more than 30 publications in international and national peer-reviewed journals. He is acting as a Reviewer for more than 29 International Journals. Suvardhan Kanchi is working as an Editorial Board Member for 23 National/International Journals and also as an Executive Editor for American Journal of Phytomedicine and Clinical Therapeutics. He is a Life Member in Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS), Senior Member in Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society, Hong Kong and Organising Committe Member for International Summit on Past and Present Research Systems of Green Chemistry-2014 & 15.
