A learning disability is a neurological disorder. Children with learning disabilities are as smart as or smarter than their peers but they may have difficulty to understand or use spoken or written language, do mathematical calculations, coordinate movements, or direct attention. Learning disabilities are common between 8% and 10% of children under age 18.
Common signs that a person may have learning disabilities include the following:
· Problems reading and/or writing

· Dyslexia – Difficulty with reading

· Auditory Processing Disorder – Difficulty hearing differences between sounds
